1997
Pikasoma was founded in response to the growing need for a professional ship chandler in the Baltic States. From its first days Pikasoma specialized in technical ship supply and sought to become the direct dealership for the most requested supplies in the field.
2001
A wide ranging assortment of mooring ropes was formed with exclusive dealer‘s rights in Lithuanian and Latvian ports. The assortment was shaped in response to the market demands and with a mixed client base in mind.
2002
As a way of quality assurance to its growing client base and business partners, Pikasoma acquired ISSA membership.
2003
Responding to the clients‘ requests for a wide range of anchor chains and accessories, Pikasoma expanded its assortment to include them. Currently main types of chains and accessories can be purchased from Pikasoma‘s warehouses.
2005
Pikasoma expanded its operations to supplying anchor chains for offshore industry.
2006
Pikasoma purchased two specialized vehicles for transporting up to 3,5 tons of supplies for faster deliveries and quicker turn around rate in the Baltic region.
2007
The assortment was expanded to include specialized marine valves and steel wire ropes. Previously, the local market mostly resorted to the use of industrial valves.
2008
Pikasoma fulfilled the ISSA Quality Assurance standards and merited its approval.
2010
The company passed ISO 9001:2000 certificate requirements by Lloyd Register proving it can consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements and continually improve its customer service.
